Mercy Ministry is the "hands and feet" of making God known.
Internationally, YWAM helps meet some of the practical and physical
needs of about 400,000 people annually. Mercy Ministries exists to show
people the tangible love of God.
In Madison, YWAM works with a wide group of people in need: - raising
awareness of AIDS/HIV locally and internationally -- our staff teach in
churches, at community events, and in schools training others about HIV/AIDS
- being positive role models or counselors to at-risk and incarcerated teens
- working with existing ministries to feed the hungry and homeless in downtown Madison
- coordinating outreach (missions) trips to nations such as Haiti to offer loving relief and help
- raising
awareness in the Church of other needs around the world -- such as the
plight of child soldiers and prostitutes, injustices done to women, and more
